10: beginning again
It’s never easy starting over. Navigating uncharted territory with ease can be difficult and more often than not we feel fear and doubt start to creep in. So, I thought I’d share my story of beginning again in really aspect of my life. I left a long-term relationship, began to teach yoga again and moved cities all within a year. My heart was made up and it was a long time coming, but either way it was a transitional time that I will never forget.
Are you considering a big life change? Leaving a partner? Moving across states? Or starting a new career path?
No matter what is, here is a blueprint from my own experiences for starting again:
- Self-Discovery: Reflect on what your hearts desires. Take time to analyze why this big change is pulling on your heart and mind. Lean into the feeling of discomfort to see what they are showing you to pick out your why for this movement.
- Envision your future: If it’s not this, then what is it? How do you want to feel on a daily basis? Your future is bright and moldable, so what how do you want to feel in a month or even a year from now? Use Pinterest, vision boards or affirmations to solidify your desired outcome.
- Challenges will arise: Recognize that there are going to be challenging times during this process and welcome them as lessons. They are arriving because they are helping you grow into the next version of who you are meant to be.
- GIVE YOURSELF BREAKS: I can’t emphasize this enough. Give yourself time to reset and recharge throughout this challenging time. You are going to be exhausted somedays, so incorporating self-care into your daily practice is key in maintaining your well being!
You got this!! Believe in yourself and have a close group around you that believes in your vision that you can lean on when times get trying. You don’t have to this alone. Sending you so much love.
