9: honoring your yin + yang
This week’s episode is all about how to create more balance within your masculine and feminine energy. Both reside within us and recognizing where we naturally lean allows us to honor rituals that cultivate the opposite internally. I also discuss importance of cultivating a health balance of both in your daily life.
Which traits do you associate with masculine and feminine energy? Your answer may be drastically different than the person sitting next to you. These ideals are often shaped by your upbringing, representation within your friends and family, exposure to societal gender norms and how you personally identify with each energy within yourself.

- what traits do you deem positive or negative?
- do you idolize one energy more than the other?
- how can you create balance of both within your relationships and approach to daily life?
How to cultivate yin:
- slow down, rest + allow yourself to be
- savor the pleasures of life
- fluid movement + dance
- calming meditations
- allow life to flow to you, surrender
How to cultivate yang:
- state your needs + wants
- take action around your goals
- step into your power in conversations + relationships
- be assertive in the persuit of your desires
